The Lovat Room (left) is named after the 8th Lord Lovat, Chief of the Lovat Frasers, who built this house for his wife in the early 17th century (you can still see the marriage stone in the wall of the drawing room). | The Craigton Room is named after Craigton Point, across the Beauly Firth on the Black Isle, which is visible from the small conservatory attached to the room. This is a ground floor room, wheelchair friendly, with its own private access. It has a super king double bed. Premium class. |
The Ardfearn Room (right) picks up a local name, mostly associated with a very fine nursery garden a couple of miles away. The room has a sumptuous creamy feel to it. As you can see there is a super king size double bed and the sofa can pull out into a further double bed. The view is over the garden. Superior class. |

The Cedar Room is so named as it overlooks the ‘Loving Tree' on the front lawn. This Lebanon Cedar is said to bring good luck if young couples plight their troth underneath its branches. It has a (suitably romantic) queen size four poster bed. Superior class. |

The Fraser Room is named after Simon Fraser, Chief of the Lovat Frasers, who built this house for his wife in the early 17th century (you can still see t he marriage stone in the wall of the drawing room). It has a queen size double bed and a garden view. Standard Class. |
The Forbes Room is named after Duncan Forbes of Culloden, who was born here and became Lord President of the Court of Session at Inverness. He played a major role in the defeat of the Jacobite force at Culloden in 1746, but abhorred the brutality of the victorious forces following the battle. This is a family room with small windows overlooking the sea; it has a double bed and small sitting room with a sofa-bed. Standard Class. |
The Inchmore Room overlooks the garden and is named after a village of the same name on the road to Beauly. The bed arrangement can be double or twin and there is ample space for a third temporary bed if required. Standard Class. |

The Redcastle Room (left) looks out over the Beauly Firth towards a fine ruined castle of red sandstone, property of the brother of Scots king William ‘the Lyon' in the 12th century, and massively expanded by the Mackenzies in the 16th century. | The Turret Room (right) is so named for obvious reasons – it is above the main door. It has a wonderful double sleigh bed, wonderful for all except the very tall who should choose an alternative! Standard Class. |

The Kessock Room looks east towards the village and bridge of the same name on the north side of the Beauly Firth. It has side and sea views and a double bed. |

The Kinlea Room (left) looks south over the garden and also has a window with a side view of the sea though with leaves on the trees in the summer you might wonder where! It is a lovely bright room with a Queen-size double bed. |
The Beauly Room looks north and east over the sea and is named after the town which Mary Queen of Scots called a beau lieu – a beautiful place. The town is home to a ruined 13th century Priory of the Valliscaulian monks. (There is a prize for anyone who can pronounce that correctly after two large drams from the local Glen Ord Distillery.) Twin beds. |
The Kirkton Room faces south and is named after the ‘farm toun' of Kirkton (the kirk is long gone but the burial ground remains) and the knoll of Cnoc a' Chin where there is a ruined stone ‘dun' or fort. The bed arrangement can be double or twin. |
