*excluding excess (deductable) of £100 for cars in Groups 1 to 7 and £250 for cars in groups 8, 9 and 10. For both small and large 4 x 4's the excess is £500. Excess is the maximum amount payable by the driver in the unlikely event of theft of the vehicle or an accident. Damage to wheels, tyres and steering geometry is not covered under damage excess.

All car rental companies impose an excess. Not all will tell you until you arrive in the country so please take care, if comparing our car hire prices with other quotes, most companies impose a standard excess of £500 and charge between £5 and £12 per day to reduce the excess.

To hire a car you must have held your driving licence for a minimum of 12 months.

Age restrictions for car rentals

Age 21 to 22 may rent Groups 1 to 3 only with higher excess (deductable) of £550
Age 23 to 24 may rent Groups 1 to 3 only but with no increased excess (deductable).
Age 25 years plus may rent all groups.

Additional drivers / baby seats

Only £10 for each additional driver. This is the total charge, not a daily rate. To meet the updated regulations which come into force on the 18th of september 2006 children up to 12 years old or 135cm in height must use a appropriate child restraint.
If you require a child seat there will be a norminal charge of £1 per day(maximum charge £28 per item).

One way car hire

It's only £15 to pick up your rental car at one branch and return to another.
