Donald, a farmers son, born and bred in renfrewshire has spent most of his working life in the hospitality industry. Until June 2000 he owned Ardmorv House hotel on the Isle of Bute. He also has spent meny years at Clydebank and John Wheatley Colleges Lecturing in their Catering Departments. He did much of his training at Drvburgh Abbey Hotel and Raven Hall Hotel and was manager at Wyndales House Hotel before buying his first business .. a retaurant in Dumfries.Fraser is Accountancy trained, and although a Glaswegian by birth has lived in various parts of scotland, including Dundee and Aberdeen and more resently at Lochinver and Loch Awe. He thinks of living in Dunoon to be like coming home, even though it has changed a bit since his childhood days of holidays "doon the watter" in Innellan. He is a music lover and has participated in amature operatics.

Breakfast, 8.00 - 9.00am
Guests help themselves to freshly squeezed friut juice, cereals (including home made muesli), fresh and dried fuit, home baked bread and rolls, cheese and yoghurt.
While these are being enjoyed, tea/coffee, and your choice of cooked breakfast will be prepared.

Lunches, Home made soup and platters of sandwiches can be served at lunch time.
Packed lunches are available for those going out and about.


Dinner, 7.00 - 7.30pm
There is a limited daily changing, menu of fresh prepared, delicous dishes.
We source the ingredients locally whenever possible. Apertifs and canapers are served in the lounge prior to dinner.

5 courses & coffee is £20.00 for those not taking advantage of the dinner, bed & breakfast tariff.

Special diets catered for providing you give us prior notice.

  • Have your own "house party", where you and your guests have sole use of Dhailling Lodge for 2 nights dinner, bed and breakfast.
  • We can accommodate up to 11 people in our 4 double/twin and 3 single bedrooms.
  • Menus and refreshments can be planned in advance to suit your requirements, as can flowers, celebration cakes, transport and other extras.
  • The cost for the 2 days is £1040.00. This is only £47.28 per person per day (11 staying). Compare this with the cost of dinner in many a restaurant!
  • Turn that special occasion into something different and make it last for a couple of days instead of just a few hours.
